The Fly and Backing line will last much longer if they are dried after your fishing venture
Here is an easy way to do it
Purchase a small plastic Kids kite for one of the local shops (I Got my Barney Kite a local hardware store). Attach a swivel to the kite and fasten to you fly line then go have some Kite flying fun for half an hour in the process two things will happen.
1 You're backing line will dry out
2 A gentle stretch is applied to your fly line.
To prevent the Fly line form kinking when it is wound back on to your reel. Wind in the backing then retrieve by hand and unclip the kite and wind on your fly line
